Hybrid Turbo Upgrade Package for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution: a hybrid turbocharger on the factory manifold with uprated injectors, fuel pump, intercooler pipework and a road legal calibration.

A bigger turbo is the part of a power upgrade people talk about and the least of it. Fuelling, intercooling, clutch capacity, oil supply and a calibration done on a dyno are what decide whether the car is quicker for years or quicker until the first track day. These packages include the supporting parts, and the power figures quoted are what we measure on our own dyno at UK pump fuel, not what a manufacturer printed on a box. The Evolution uses active centre and yaw control differentials whose pump and fluid are the parts that fail first, long before the 4G63 does.

Fitting

Labour guide: about 10 hours plus dyno time. Japanese manufacturers change parts by build date and by market, and grey imports add a second layer to that. Send the VIN or chassis number with the order and we confirm the part against the build data before anything is dispatched. For imported cars send the chassis plate, because the UK registration will not tell us enough. We are an independent parts specialist for Japanese cars. Performance modifications must be declared to your insurer before you drive the car. Most specialist insurers are happy with sensible parts; an undeclared modification can void a claim entirely. We do not sell decat pipes, particulate filter deletes, EGR blanks, emulators, or crackle and pop calibrations. They are illegal on a road car in the UK, an MOT failure and they void insurance.
