Japanese cars change specification by market, by trim and part way through a model year. We check every part against your car before it is dispatched.
How we check
For a UK car, send us the last seven characters of your VIN. For an imported car, send the chassis number from the plate, and the model code if you have it. You can put them in the order notes at checkout, or email them to info@atautoparts.co.uk with your order number. If the part is not right, we contact you before sending anything.
Where to find the numbers
- On your V5C registration document, in the box marked E.
- At the bottom of the windscreen on the passenger side on most UK cars.
- On the chassis plate in the engine bay or on the bulkhead on imported cars.
Genuine, OEM or Quality Aftermarket
- Genuine: made for the vehicle manufacturer and supplied in its own packaging.
- OEM: made by the company that supplies the manufacturer, to the same specification, in that company's own packaging. Usually the best value.
- Quality Aftermarket: from established independent brands that we are happy to fit to customers' cars ourselves.
Performance parts and your insurer
Power upgrades, coilovers, big brake kits, exhausts, wheels and track parts are modifications. Tell your insurer before you fit them. Listings where this applies are marked.
Hybrid systems
Hybrid batteries, inverters and their cooling parts carry high voltage. They must be fitted by a technician qualified to work on high voltage systems.
Emissions systems
We do not sell decat pipes, particulate filter deletes, EGR blanks, emulators or crackle and pop calibrations, and we cannot map a car to ignore its emissions system. We sell the filters, sensors and valves that make the system work.
