The diesel engines in these pick ups and SUVs are strong, but they dislike short journeys, and particulate filters, injectors and oil dilution follow. Timing chains and belts are interval items on some and known faults on others. Each package says which. The CX-5 2.2 Skyactiv D is efficient but dislikes short journeys, and oil dilution and injector seals follow if it is used that way.

Labour guide: about 10 hours. Japanese manufacturers change parts by build date and by market, and grey imports add a second layer to that. Send the VIN or chassis number with the order and we confirm the part against the build data before anything is dispatched.
