Toyota and Honda hybrid systems are exceptionally durable, and when a traction battery does weaken it is usually a few modules rather than the whole pack. Reconditioning with balanced modules is often the better value; a new pack is the right answer on a high mileage car you intend to keep. We test first and tell you which you need. The CR-V hybrid uses the iMMD two motor system, and the 1.5 turbo petrol had an oil dilution issue in cold climates that is worth understanding.

Fitting

Labour guide: about 4 hours. Japanese manufacturers change parts by build date and by market, and grey imports add a second layer to that. Send the VIN or chassis number with the order and we confirm the part against the build data before anything is dispatched. Which version to buy

Remanufactured is rebuilt to specification with new wear parts and tested, with a surcharge refunded on your old unit. New Unit is a brand new unit rather than an exchange.
